a drawing a day (and a little italiano)

My theme for March is 'a drawing a day'. I'm a big procrastinator when it comes to drawing, and it's time to get back into the habit, even if it's just a quick sketch on an unused page in my diary. What and where don't really matter - it's just the doing.

I'm learning Italian at the moment, as I've mentioned previously, so I'm going to have an italiano word or phrase for the day to go with the drawing. Today it's 'la mano' - the hand. La mano has the same language root as the English manual and manufacture. I bet you can guess what la palma is ...

I'm right-handed (scrivo con la destra), so this is la mano sinistra - it's my left hand.
